Community Futures South Fraser works closely with the local community members and agencies to aid in offering the most helpful workshops to those exploring business start-up, involved in business operation, and situated in social enterprises.

Business development counselling and planning sessions are offered to clents on an individual basis or in small groups.

From time-to-time, other workshops or information sessions in the region will be posted on our website as well.

Pre-registration and prepayment is required in order to ensure that seats are reserved for all participants. Visa and MasterCard information can be taken over the phone, and Interac and cash payment options (plus credit card) are available if registration is done in person by dropping by the office between 8:30 and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9:00 and 4:00 on Fridays.

Introductory Self-Employment Information Session (free!)
first Tuesday of the month, 9:00 am - 10:30 am

For those seeking introductory assistance with business start-up, we offer a free introductory information session on entrepreneurship called Exploring Self-Employment. This is in addition to our regular business workshops, which cover most requested business topics. This workshop is an introduction to the services that Community Futures South Fraser provides to those considering self-employment. The pros and cons of self-employment are examined, in addition to the benefits of preparing a business plan. Participants are introduced to the basic steps in starting up and registering a business, and the various services available to budding entrepreneurs. Please call in advance to book a seat for this workshop. Limited to 12 participants per session.

second Tuesday of the month, 7:30 - 8:45 am

CFSF Networking Breakfasts are held on the second Tuesday of each month at the ABC Country Restaurant, 32080 Marshall Road, Abbotsford. The breakfasts are an excellent opportunity to meet with other business owners, develop relationships, plus share experiences and ideas. No matter what business you may run, networking is an important aspect of creating and developing a successful business, and it can be one of the most enjoyable too. Come along and join us.
